The Family

Harold

Harold came from the SPCA after his previous owner lost their home. When our founder went to meet him, he instantly rolled over for a belly rub and it was love at first sight. Harold was the first animal at OSS. He loves rubbing his muddy nose on everyone he meets.

Dominic

Dominic was picked up by the local city animal control after being tied up behind a business, and no one claimed him. He was underweight and dirty but still an extremely happy boy. He is very curious and loves meeting new friends furry and not.

Dusty

We got Dusty when he was only one day old. His mom died right after he was born on a farm in Petaluma. The farmer reached out to Genevieve's Gentle Hearts Rescue to surrender him. He battled joint infections and spent a lot of time at UC Davis hospital, but he's now a growing boy and doing great.

Fosters

Many of the rescues on our sanctuary have an extraordinary amount of needs, due to unfortunate medical or psychological issues, for which our cause offers a place for safety and compassion permanently. However, oftentimes we find fosters that fall under our care through a string of poor luck or timing and are otherwise exceptionally healthy in all aspects. In order to focus our energy towards the more necessitous members of Only Sunshine sanctuary we encourage re-homing of these fosters, provided that home also exudes the qualities of peace, love and compassion. Below you can find more information on the fosters at Only Sunshine sanctuary and also some information on how you can help!
