Our Programs
When you support Only Sunshine Sanctuary, you're helping create a kinder, more compassionate community for both animals and people.
We believe in helping animals and people in our own community above all else, by bringing care, connection, and safety in times of need.
We do that through a variety of channels:
Rescue & Sanctuary
We rescue abandoned and neglected animals who have nowhere else to go and provide them with food, safe and comfortable shelter, medical care, family, and the loving lives they deserve. On any given day, 50-70 rescued animals call Only Sunshine Sanctuary home.
Foster & Adoption Program
For animals who don't require lifelong sanctuary, we provide loving foster care while helping them find safe, compassionate forever homes.

Youth Education
Each year, 10–15 young people participate in Leaders for Ethics, Animals, and the Planet (LEAP) at our sanctuary, where they learn about how their daily choices can help animals and the planet and develop the skills to become compassionate and equitable leaders for everyone we share the planet with. We host LEAP high school students one day each month during the school year and LEAP middle school students at our one-week summer camp!
Free Rabbit Supply Closet
Our bi-monthly Free Rabbit Food & Supply Closet serves 100–200 pet owners each year, helping keep pets with the families who love them and preventing more animals from being abandoned.
InAlliance Volunteering
Through our partnership with InAlliance, we provide meaningful volunteer opportunities for 4 individuals with disabilities every week.
Bunnies & Books
Through our partnership with Wild Sisters Book Company, children and families can meet adoptable rabbits, enjoy story time, and learn about kindness and compassion for animals through books and hands-on experiences.
