Mighty Ducks

Rupert, Emma, Puddle and Freckles made their trip to Only Sunshine sanctuary from Los Angeles. A social media influencer bought 2 ducklings and when they were full grown dumped them at a park. A local rescuer jumped into action and went to the park and found 2 additional dumped domestic ducks and knew she couldn’t leave them behind either. She was able to rescue all 4 and they made their way to OSS to live together forever

Harold

Harold was surrendered to the Sacramento SPCA when his owner lost their home. The founder fell in love with him when she went to see him at the SPCA and he instantly rolled over for a belly rub. Harrold was the first non-human resident to move into the property that is now Only Sunshine Sanctuary

Three Stooges

Curly, Moe and Shemp were rescued at only 4 hours old. Someone wanted their mothers milk and had no use for them. Triplets are not very common in goats and they were extremely small. They are extremely affectionate and love being with people.

Neapolitan

Neapolitan was found dumped in the county. He was 80lbs over weight and had 3rd burn scabs and scaring all over his back. He will never grow fur and needs constant skin treatment but it doesn’t affect him 1 bit. He is shy getting to know people but is just the sweetest lovebug.

Wilbur

Wilbur was an unneutered boar living alone in a backyard. He wasn’t neglected but his owners knew he was not living his best life. We got him neutered and he was only supposed to be a temporary foster but fit right in. He has been with us since and is here to stay. After being neutered he is a sweet affectionate guy.
